Black and White photography challenge day 5:

B&W challenge day 5: Final day of my B&W challenge. It was a lot of fun and a nice challenge. I chose to do it by the book and really go back to the B&W days where black and white photography was more than a filter it was a form of photography on it's own. The idea was to show that you don't need to have lots of fancy equipment or lighting to really enjoy the art of photography and to get great shots.

Cheers and keep on clickin' I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks Jessica Lerner for being a part of it.

Black and White photography challenge day 4:

B&W challenge day 4: Stage lights. On this shot I was trying to simulate a stage performance using only available lights. It's actually a school sign with the letters flashing. Thanks Jessica for playing the part!

Black & White Photography Challenge Day 2

B&W challenge day 2: Once again only using available lights in the evening.

The spot:

Black & White Photography Challenge

Hi there, I was challenged by my good friend Xavier Bailey on a B&W Challenge. instead of just looking back to find B&W shots that I already have. I decided to actually go and do a whole new shoot sole in B&W. I set my camera to B&W (monochrome mode) and went for it.

I really didn't want to go fancy and use a bunch of flashes and stuff what I did was to look for "available light" at night. Only bringing the camera out on the streets at night using no flash at all, only available light, using whatever I could find. I though it would be a more challenging and more fun this way since you really need to rely only on skills and creativity dealing with light source limitations.

The model was the very talented Jessica Lerner.

I also want to share the location and what I did with what was available. I hope you enjoy it:)

So this is day 1:

B&W Challenge: I challenge Ben Aguirre to post 1 B&W photo a day, and to challenge another photog each day, for 5 days.
